Background:
Now you see me, now you don't ! Naturally I'm a shy boy, having lived in a semi-wild state with only other dogs for company. So you can imagine the trauma and pain of having a wire embedded in my leg for several weeks. The ARK staff who came to rescue me were very patient, knowing that leaving me like that would have resulted in me dying through infection. Unfortunately it was too late to save my leg but now I can hop around easily. It's as if I had been born with three legs. I love going on walks but still now, only with the staff I know. I'm sure there'll come a time when I will enjoy going out with everybody.

TOHOKU-PACIFIC QUAKE ANIMALS

Our priority now is on housing the remaining 16 dogs from the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, many of whom have owners, but who are unable to take them back. The area (land) where the Earthquake dogs are now housed, has been rented for many years but now due to changing circumstances of the owners, is due to be returned to them. That means there is some urgency in building new kennels for them in Sasayama. Your continuing support is appreciated.
