HELP for the ANIMALS made HOMELESS by the EARTHQUAKE and TSUNAMI (49)

Update 25th December 2011

FROM AFAR, an elderly Beagle, rescued on 14th April, was reunited with his family in Fukushima yesterday. One of the Boys flew up to Fukushima from Osaka with him and handed him over. Both were excited to see each other again after so long apart.

The 16 year old has been through a traumatic time and we hope the family will keep him warm and snug in this bitterly cold season.

Two puppies recently rescued from Fukushima are now in Tokyo where they have been neutered. They will come to Osaka in the New Year.

TOHOKU-PACIFIC QUAKE ANIMALS

Our priority now is on housing the remaining 16 dogs from the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, many of whom have owners, but who are unable to take them back. The area (land) where the Earthquake dogs are now housed, has been rented for many years but now due to changing circumstances of the owners, is due to be returned to them. That means there is some urgency in building new kennels for them in Sasayama. Your continuing support is appreciated.
