SOMEONE out there I’m sure has a soft spot for the underdog and will want to adopt me. Or in my case, I should say the “blind” dog. I had to have my eyes removed. I didn’t start out life like that. I was kept in such horrible conditions at my previous home that I had to have them removed. A blind dog can get along fine (remember, our nose is our most powerful sense!). I have learned my name and I know who is near me by their smell. I am already 12 years old but I am a survivor! Can you imagine living 12 years in such squalor that your eyes have to be removed? TOHOKU-PACIFIC QUAKE ANIMALS

Our priority now is on housing the remaining 16 dogs from the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, many of whom have owners, but who are unable to take them back. The area (land) where the Earthquake dogs are now housed, has been rented for many years but now due to changing circumstances of the owners, is due to be returned to them. That means there is some urgency in building new kennels for them in Sasayama. Your continuing support is appreciated.
