Being a gourmet, Urume just couldn't resist the aroma of urume sardines coming from the trap used to catch her. She was safely ensconced in the ARK van not 10 minutes after staff arrived on the scene. Early on, Urume wasn't happy about her new surroundings, but is now a sweet, happy kitten just waiting for a home. Although rescued alone, Urume is now very happy to play with Ko, Fuku and Tera. Kittens adopted in pairs or threes are more sociable and outgoing. Please think about adopting Urume and one of her friends.

TOHOKU-PACIFIC QUAKE ANIMALS

Our priority now is on housing the remaining 16 dogs from the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami, many of whom have owners, but who are unable to take them back. The area (land) where the Earthquake dogs are now housed, has been rented for many years but now due to changing circumstances of the owners, is due to be returned to them. That means there is some urgency in building new kennels for them in Sasayama. Your continuing support is appreciated.
